More than half the world’s tuna supply, about two million tonnes each year, comes from the Pacific region. Overfishing by industrial fleets from Asia, Europe and America is endangering stocks of valuable yellowfin tuna. This gift will help Greenpeace programs such as our work with Pacific Island countries. We aim to establish marine reserves, reduce bycatch and stamp out pirate fishing to ensure the yellowfin thrives once again.
